CO2 emissions from syngas in ammonia and methanol plants can be extracted with the most efficient energy loss due to the high pressure of the gas and its high concentration of CO2. Ammonia and methanol are also easily shippable products using the existing global transport fleet – enabling areas with an abundance of natural gas to provide chemical and energy products to lesser endowed parts of the world. Adding CO2 capture systems to existing ammonia and methanol assets enables the important plants to be operated in a sustainable way.
